Explication1 :
Les Susa Bubbles ont attrapé un poisson. Alors que l’équipage admire la taille de l’animal, le poisson meurt. Ils se demandent s’ils sont responsables.

Explication 2 :
J’ai grandi dans un petit village au bord de la mer. Une fois tous les 2 ou 3 ans, un gros poisson (une petite baleine) s’échouait sur notre plage. Et c’était un très gros événement : L’ARRIVEE, ce poisson énorme étendu sur la plage, son poids l’empêchait de respirer, voulant revenir dans l’eau, dans la chaleur de sa graisse, piégé dans le sable, tout gluant et malodorant. Nous l’escaladions de toutes parts, debout sur le sommet de son ventre, lui donnant des coups avec des bâtons, sautant dessus pour des photos, alors que la baleine mourrait lentement sous nos pieds. La plage se transformait en une fête de l’école, une bonne affaire pour le vendeur de croquettes de poisson et de chocolat chaud.
Quand le poisson était enfin mort, c’était le grand final. Des hommes avec de grosses bottes, des imperméables brillants jaunes et des couteaux aiguisés hachaient en pièces le poisson devenu à présent très odorant. Le regarder donnait une odeur à nos cheveux pour des semaines.
En tant qu’enfant, cela laissait une forte impression sur moi. Pourquoi n’étions-nous pas capable de porter le poisson jusqu’à la mer?
Je me demande si nous étions à blâmer.

SASKIA BODDEKE
Réalisatrice nouveaux médias / théâtre musical / installations
Vit à Amsterdam

Saskia Boddeke est une artiste multimédia et metteur en scène. Son théâtre, avec une solide formation en matière de langages caractéristiques du théâtre musical au cours des vingt dernières années, utilise les projections multi-écrans, la programmation informatique et les associations avec des univers visuel encore plus récent comme Second Life, l’inter-montage et l’inter-connexion d’avatars animés audiovisuelles avec de vrais acteurs au sein d’une présence sur scène qui combine une présence physique avec le numérique. Ses performances sont montrées à travers l’Europe.

Saskia a dirigé de nombreux spectacles de théâtre musical et d’opéra dont la plupart des livrets ont été écrit par Peter Greenaway :
– Rosa, a horse drama, (De Nederlandse Opera Amsterdam) + long métrage ; Writing to Vermeer, De Nederlandse Opera, Amsterdam, New York et Adélaïde); 100 Objets pour représenter le monde, (Salzburg et tournée à travers l’Europe et l’Amérique du Sud ; Or, 92 bars dans une voiture accidentée,(Schauspiel de Francfort); Die Zauberflöte, WAMozart, en co-direction avec Pierre Audi (Salzburger Festspiele, Salzbourg); Christophe Colomb, (Deutsche Staatsoper, à Berlin) ; Les enfants de l’uranium (Genoa et Naples); Wash & Travel, installation multimédia avec des performances live au Festival de Lille Capitale Culturelle.  The Falls, Zwolle ; Rembrandt Spiegel, (Productiehuis Rotterdam)
tournée à travers les Pays-Bas et à Budapest ; Vj Show : Le Survivant de Varsovie d’Arnold Schönberg, Opera de Florence ; La Planète bleue,  (Saragosse , Chine , Macao et Hong Kong) , Le Big Bang,  (Varsovie).
Avec son avatar de Second Life Rose Borchovski, Saskia a exposé l’histoire de Susa Bubble.
Pour l’année 2013, Saskia travaille sur plusieurs expositions multimédia : Le sexe et la mer (musée maritime de Rotterdam) ; L’âge d’or des Pays-Bas et de la Russie….

 THE ARRIVAL

Explanation 1:
The Susa Bubbles have caught a fish, while they admire how big it is, the fish dies. They wonder if they are to blame.

Explanation 2:
I grew up in a small village on the edge of the sea. Once every few years a big fish (small whale) would strand on our beach. And that was an enormous happening: THE ARRIVAL, this giant big fish lying on the beach, its weight made it impossible to breath, longing for the water, overheated by its own fat, trapped in the sand, slippery and smelly. We would climb all over it, standing on top of its belly, poking it with sticks, jumping up and down for pictures, while the whale was slowly dying under our feet. The beach would turn into a fancy fair, good business for local kibbling (warm fish) and hot chocolate seller.
When the fish was finally dead, there was the grand finale. Men with big boots, shinny yellow raincoats and sharp knives would chop the bubbling and the now very smelly fish up into pieces. Looking at it made our hair smell for weeks.
As a child this left a huge impression on me. Why were we not able to carry the fish back into the sea?
I wondered if we were to blame.

Explanation 3:
Christian explanation: do we need the fish to take over our sins?
Do we take more then we need, are we to blame?

SASKIA BODDEKE
Director: new media/music theatre/installations
Live in  Amsterdam

Saskia Boddeke is a multimedia artists and stage director. Her theatre, with a solid grounding in characteristic music-theatre languages over the last twenty years, uses multiple projection-screens, sophisticated computer-programming and manoeuvres into association with even newer visual phenomenon like Second Life, inter-cutting and inter-connecting animated audio-visual avatars with live actors within a stage presence which combines the truly physical with the electronic. Her performances are shown around Europe.
Saskia has directed many music theatre performances and operas of whom Peter Greenaway wrote libretto :

- Rosa, a horse drama, (De Nederlandse Opera Amsterdam) + feature film ; Writing to Vermeer, De Nederlandse Opera, Amsterdam, New York and Adélaïde); 100 objects to represent the world, (Salzburg, tour around Europe and South America; Gold, 92 bars in a crashed car, (Schauspiel de Francfort); Die Zauberflöte, WAMozart,  in co-direction with Pierre Audi (Salzburger Festspiele, Salzbourg); Christoph Colomb, (Deutsche Staatsoper, Berlin) ; Children of Uranium (Genoa and Naples); Wash & Travel, imultimedia installation with live performance at the Lille Cultural Capital Festival.  The Falls, Zwolle ; Rembrandt Spiegel, (Productiehuis Rotterdam, tour through the Netherlands and to Budapest) ; Vj Show : The Survivor of Warsaw  by Arnold Schönberg, Opera de Florence ; The Blue Planet,  (Saragosse , China , Macau and Hong Kong)) , The Big Bang,  (Varsovie).
